The group of us 8 from RHS class of 1960 served a tour in Vietnam offer our writing to you as much as a way to share with ourselves and one another as we do for your interest. I assure you that even this small amount of writing has been emotional for each of us and we share that tears welled up more than once as memories of men and places came to mind from in a land far far away, a very very long time ago.

A transient event as a noted author has claimed and it is no doubt true in the historical scheme of things, but for those of us who went there, no matter what we did while we were there, the simple act of going and all that followed has left an indelible mark in our lifetime. For those who stayed behind and cared enough to hold us in your arms upon our return, we thank you.

A long time coming, but, "WELCOME HOME FELLAS!"

  1. Captain, a job well done, sir. Remembering the reaching for perspective at the time; "We're here. We carry those with us who ain't and we do because they, too, would."
